Our Technology
The FleetChief solution consists of hardware, software and wireless communications services that allow companies to better manage their mobile resources. The hardware consists of a mobile communications hub, or "Mub," that is secured inside a vehicle and provides communications from the field to the server. There are several different software components including a management user interface for manager, administrators and sales users, field software for mobile workers, server software that controls communication between the database, management user interface and field software, and wireless communication software that runs on the Mub.

FleetChief software accesses Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 database running on the Windows Server operating system. FleetChief uses state of the art technologies including Microsoft's .Net framework and "Smart Client" architecture, and the XML standard to store metadata and transport field data. The result is a solution that is highly configurable and allows for updates to be pushed to end-users with much less effort than traditional software distribution models.

Designed for office and mobile workforces, FleetChief supports both continuously and occasionally connected users. The FleetChief user interface can be configured to provide different views and functionality for different user groups. For example, in a typical implementation it is common to have one set of views and features for field personnel and a different user interface configuration for management and office staff. This allows each user group to access only the data and functionality required to complete the tasks for which they are responsible. FleetChief can be configured to impose the specific steps or processes required to deliver multiple service types in the field.
